Kira tied his black uniform onto his body and then reaches into his bag and pulls out a belt, as black as death and ties it around his waste, making a perfect square knot, the back of the belt perfectly done so it looks like it was only wrapped once, as a proper blackbelt should wear his belt. Checking to see if he remembered his cup he lightly knocks his groin area, hearing a reassuring thump. His eyes catching a glimpse of the patch that had a G and had three black stripes running horizontally, one on top of the other; just below the letter.

Picking up his bag of sparring gear and weapons he walks out of the locker room and bows, stepping out onto the matted floor and sits on his knees on the far end of the gym. He was excited for today, each of the black belts gets to pick a student to train one on one today in their best martial art or fighting system. Having won the draw for choice he had already decided on who he would pick, and as he patiently waited for the rest of the class to join him, he briefly thought about his home and with a shudder he touches his scarred face and back very ashamed of them, and he hated the people who did it to him.

Izumi cautiously entered the dojo with her stiff white uniform. Her long blonde hair was tied into a high ponytail that still ended near her waist. She glanced at it with slight distaste, and thought that, maybe, she should have put it into a long singular braid. But then again... that was tedious and Izumi knew she wouldn't have had enough time to fix it that way.

Silently berating herself she followed the trail of white uniforms with the same color belt she had. Standing in the midst of the cluster, Izumi tried to tie her belt properly though it just kept getting undone. With a resigned sigh she conspicuously held it as if it was there on purpose.

Why did she decide to take this class anyways? Izumi mentally shook her head. It was her father who had insisted on doing so. 'It's to make sure you're able to defend yourself from men.' Those were his exact words.

Kira stands up as the rest of the students and then looks around at the ratio of lower ranks to black belts, and just as he thought, it was perfect. Looking for the teacher he does not see the lazy guy and sighs. As the most senior person rank wise in the room, it is his duty to start the class off. Walking towards the students he smiles at them, glancing at each and everyone of the students he looks first at their faces and then their rank. In his mind he could here what his teacher said long ago when he ran his first mat "keep it in everyone's mind you are in control, but do not oppress them".

Coming across the blonde he had his eyes on to teach, he notices that her belt is undone and from the looks of it, she much like him when he first started had serious issues with his belt. Except his was used latter to hurt him for 'embarrassing' her.

Walking towards the blonde he subconsciously touches his back and then bows to her before placing a hand out for her belt." it looks like you need some help " he says with a warm smile, glancing over her shoulder at a sophomore from his history class who had a reputation as a molester. Noting the he is in fact heading towards him he shifts ever so slightly to keep and eye on him.

She, like the other lower ranked students, waited anxiously for their teacher to arrive. Some of them whispered around her: was their sensei a man or woman? Was he or she hot? How bad or good was this class gonna me? Izumi didn't have to wait long as some other student, presumably, with a black gi address them. Fine. Not another student. Apparently he was the fall-back teacher or something.

When everything was said and done, the students dispersed as other higher-ranked students started taking one student and began to teach them. With slight panic she noticed that she was about to be the only one without a mentor, that is, until the guy from before came up to her with a hand extended as if asking for her belt.

Blushing slightly in embarrassment, she scoffed at him, "I-I don't need your help. I have it under control."

Izumi quickly untied the belt and tried to tie it again, trying to remember how the youtube video showed the instructions. Too busy trying to make herself seem tough and capable of being independent, she didn't notice his cordial smile or the other person walking towards them.

Smiling Kira watches as she tries to tie her belt, and much like he did the first million times could not get the square knot that he had perfected years later. Gently reaching out he tries to take the belt from her saying "let me help you, anyways it is tradition for a teacher or senpai to tie the belt of a new student during their first class". Glancing back up he sees the kid look at Kira and then turns around, not wishing to face the wrath of him .

Kira, looking Izumi in the eyes smiles again, this time with something a lot more friendly, for some reason she was different, the air she gave off was different than any other woman he had met. She did not give off the air that made him into what he is.

Suddenly feeling self conscious about his scar he turns away slightly embarrassed trying to hide what his so called family did to him, in a weird way he felt the pain of the strike that caused it was deep in his memory and it felt like the knife was cutting into him again. Letting out a pained sigh he glances at her again and smiles scared to let her see the scar.

Izumi almost let out a growl as her belt consistently unwound itself. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the guy or sensei (or whatever his title was) smile at her obvious predicament. She starting to get seriously irritated at him for some reason. Obviously she couldn't tie her damn belt, but that didn't give him the right to snicker and laugh while she was having trouble.

"Fine," The Yamanaka finally conceded as she held out her belt to his reaching hand.

Her eyes narrowed at him when he didn't take the belt since he was busy staring at some random person. She rolled her eyes before snapping at him, "Alright, look here, Sir," she poked him on the chest and sneered out the word 'sir', "Don't be ignoring me when you offered help. And stop smiling like some weirdo creep. Ain't you know that's considered rude to some people? And why you trying to look away from me - ya' tryin' to piss me off?"

Then she thrusted her belt at him again. Her face now flushed with slight anger and indignation. What was up with this guy? First he comes up to her all smiley-smiley like some goody-two shoe teacher, but she knew that he was just as arrogant as all the other guys she met.

Kira takes the belt and turns back to her, enough to see the long white scar that run down the length of his lean and tanned face, looking ashamed, hopping that would be enough of an explanation, not wanting to explain how his mother cut him with a knife because her trash was not taken out when she had decided it needed to go out. Lowering his eyes he folds the belt in half and then pushes it together so it looks like a diamond and then pulls back sharply causing the belt to snap loudly.

Kira then places the middle of her belt at the waist and wraps the ends around her so that the ends are facing him. Taking the side on the left he crosses over the right then bring it under the part of her belt and pulls it up, then taking the piece he just pulled up crosses it over the right again and pulls it under, making a perfect square knot.

Looking back into her eyes he says "If you are going to judge me, look at me first". his voice was not one of a person who was offended or angered, but rather that of one who is pleading both for forgiveness and asking for understanding, two things he had never done before and could not understand why he chose to start now with a girl he had just met.

In the background the voices of the other black belts could be heard starting to teach and warm up their students. With a smile, not like one of a creeper, but rather that of one who is loving what he is doing he holds out his hand and says "I am Kira Yagami".

Seeing his current expression made her crumble inside. It felt like she was the bad guy and the bitchiest girl ever. Izumi sighed and awkwardly tugged on her long hair. It had happened again. She went off and blew her top - jumping to baseless accusations, conclusions, and what not. So, at the moment, she really felt like banging her head against a desk.

"Ugh, fine. Look, sorry for my earlier outburst," Izumi said roughly as she shook his hand for a quick second. "Name's Izumi Yamanaka."

Taking a quick look around just to avoid his piercing eyes and non-creeper smile, Izumi cleared her throat, "So... What are we doing first?"

"Get into a fighting stance and keep me from tagging your shoulders, and tag mine " He says as he bring his hands up and lifts the heel of his right foot up. his eyes fell onto her shoulders to track the movement of her arms and shoots out his hand to tag her right shoulder with his left hand. "remember to breath, or else you will be winded fast" he says as his right hand shoots to her left shoulder. It might sound a bit stupid to a beginner, but in reality it is probably the hardest skill to gain, and the one that is the most beneficial.

Kira was using half speed with Izumi so she could track his hands and have a chance of deflecting most of them.

Izumi titled her head to the side with a 'huh?' expression on her face. What the heck was a fighting stance? Awkwardly she spread her feet apart, though they were flat on the ground then brought her arms up, trying to imitate how the arms and hands were supposed to be in most of the Asian action movies that she was fond of.

And out of reflex she backed away one step while swiping at his first strike, barely blocking it. Izumi tried to step back again from his second attack, but fell backwards as she stepped on her slightly too long pants.

Catching her as she fell, one of his hands on her back, the other on her shoulder he sets her down gently and then helps her up to her feet and smiles at the memory of making the same exact mistake. "your reflexes were great, but the way you move is wrong. Try pushing off with you front foot to go back, moving like that will keep you in a fighting stance at all times " he says, his demeanor changing to that of a compassionate teacher and not that of his usual slightly dark and secluded self.

Trying to think of the reason for the loss of balance he looks at her pants and says please get into your fighting stance, I want to take a look at something ". His eyes move down to the length of her pants and thinks if he should offer to hem them since he takes care of his own uniform.

While she didn't make a sound during her unexpected fall, her heart hammered erratically in her chest. It was a small case of adrenaline rush as the only thing she could hear was her heart beat in her head. Without noticing her body, with little help from Kira, stood right back up with no problems.

"A-ah, okay," she mumbled at his feedback.

Well, at least she didn't suck completely at this. Even though she had been reluctant to take this class (and was unsure about her father's insistence), Izumi actually loved Martial Arts. She knew she could never be super epic with it, but she loved it all the same. And not sucking at something she loved made her feel better.

Then she shook her head as everything came back to her. Kira was now asking her to show him her stance, which she did with a raised eyebrow. Her top gi was form fitting yet slightly loose but not at all a disadvantage, but it was her pants that was the problem. It was the perfect size for her waist despite it being longer than she was used to; passing her heels and pooling slightly on the ground.

Kira looking over her stance looks down at her feet to check it and says "Izumi the distance between your legs is perfect, but try to relax a little, if you are to stiff you will not be able to hit certain points that you may need to hit if some one tries to harm you, and I or some one else is not there to help you ". Feeling slightly embarrassed at what he let slip he drops to one knee and folds both of her pant lags up enough to let her foot show. Smiling proudly Kira simply says "yet again your spacing between the front and back leg perfectly emulates mine, but the only problem is that your back heel is planted, you need no kind of stand on the ball of your back foot with your heel a about an inch off the ground".

Standing up he uses two fingers to bring her hands about six inches from her face and then tells her to open them. "Krav Maga is a bit different then the more traditional martial arts that you see in the movies, I chose to teach you this because you are, if I may be blunt, attractive. If some son of a bitch tried something on you on your way to your dorm or your next class, you will be able to use this right away, and not years of practice to master the defense or even the attack .

Having decided that it might be best to work a few offensive he jogs over to his bag and pull out a pair of focus mits and jogs back. holding the left one up he says punch the left mitt with your left hand ,or jab, and the right mitt with your right fist, or cross ". Curious as to how she punches he hold up the left and then the right for her punches.

"'Kay," with her attention fully on his advice Izumi was staring hard at her feet, and forcing her muscles to relax. Her legs sagged a little and didn't look as stiff, but Izumi could tell she was still reluctant to relax completely. She just couldn't do it. Her body still remembered how surprised she was when someone kept throwing random things at her. And her body was determined to remain tightly coiled in case of something happening.

Then she opened her palms as instructed, immersed into the lesson. Izumi nodded her head at his reasoning then when he went off to grab his mitts, all she did was stare with her mouth slightly open. His previous statement was still sinking into her brain. 'Because you are, if I may be blunt, attractive.' It echoed in and out of her mind until he returned was saying something again.

"Y-you find me attractive?!" Izumi squeaked loudly, enough to gather the attention of some of the people around them.

Her cheek were flame red as she stepped back without falling again. Izumi always heard from other girls' conversations how guys kept saying she was cute, beautiful, and all that, but none of them had ever said it to her outright.

Watching her body kind of relax, he compliments her saying "That is a hell of a lot better then I was till I got my P3 ". Slightly envious of that he says"Okay, I know I have been calling this your fighting stance, but from now on I am going to address it as your outlet stance,". Holding up his right mitt he wants to see her punch again, this being possibly the most important punch to base principal off later, he wanted to make sure she gets it right.

With a bot of an embarrassed smile he says "[color=red][/Of course I do Izumi, you would either have to be gay, or blind not to realize that you are the most attractive girl in this gym and probably in the school[color]". Not really getting why she was blushing, and not caring that other people heard. What he was basing his comment on, was not just what was on her exterior, but also how she did not make him want to do something to hurt her, he actually wanted to defend her.

Getting back on topic he holds up the right mitt and looks intently at her back foot to see if she is rotating to put her back up mass into the punch and adding the damage of her weight and inertia supposed to just speed which is the whole reason behind the jab.

Her blush increased as some people stopped what they were doing to speculate on what was happening. Whispers filled the background, causing her heart to beat fast again in panic. It was just like back in middle school. The words she couldn't make out were getting on her nerves, and her temper was lighting a short fuse.

Not trusting herself to open her mouth to comment on anything he said, Izumi pursed her lips and forced herself to focus at the task at hand. Trying to keep her face without emotion (and forcing her blush to die down) Izumi slipped back down into her 'outlet stance' and waited for Kira to resume the lesson. Instead, though, he repeated his statement from earlier; causing her sputter in disbelief. That was the second time today!

But nevertheless she tried to take his advice to heart: relax her stance, and then jab. And that's what she did, although Izumi totally forgot about pushing of the back foot or something. Her fists shot out with precision, but for some reason felt uncomfortable. She punched the mitts a couple of times, trying to get the hang of it when the whispers increased - a tell tale sign of a gossip story waiting to hatch.

"Oh come off it! This ain't none ya' beezwax!" She finally snapped and glared at the people around her. "Whatcha y'all lookin' at? Get back to yer damn lesson!"

Izumi huffed in annoyance once they returned to their activities.

"Take a knee " Kira shouts so everyone hears, most of the class instantly dropping to one knee and look at Kira with great intent, wondering what he said to his student that made her blush, and why he stopped the class "I can understand the white belts getting distracted by their surroundings, I can understand the purples belt temporarily loosing focus, hell I can understand the green belts glancing away. What I can not understand is why the blackbelts, the leaders of this class quit teaching their student and halting proceedings of this class for something we see every day. I want everyone except Izumi to run twenty laps around the gym! . There Was two major reasons behind this order, the first being that he felt that the incident had shown the lack of discipline in his students, and the other being the fact he would much rather his classmates hate him, then make fun of Izumi.

Turning back to his student he holds for her punches and instantly notices her discomfort with the strikes and the cause. It was a rather simple one and one that could be corrected pretty easily. "You are doing great, those strikes are dead on and your arms are nice and relaxed, however if you want to make those great punches even better, rotate with them" Kira says as he feels the students running glaring at his back, not really caring "it will add more power and it will give you more comfort since your body is moving with your fist..

Kira takes off the focus mitts and gets into his outlet stance and shows her what he is talking about, throwing out about six quick punches and then four slow ones, adding an elbow at the end, hopping she would pick up on the fact the idea carries on through out the upper body strikes.

Izumi jumped slightly when Kira suddenly shouted for attention. Seeing that most of the class got on their knees she took it as a sign to kneel as well. Curiously she stared up at him, though albeit a little awkwardly since she was barely two to four feet away from him. As he ordered the class to start running, she froze - her temper increasing as his action sunk in. Everyone was running except her.

With a fierce look on her face she stood up and listened as Kira continued the lesson. Although she was itching to strangle him for pushing the issue, Izumi let her temper simmer until after class. Then she was going to have a small talk with him and his interfering-self.

Izumi's eyes focused on the movement of his arms, chest, and waist and how they all came together to make a smooth punch.

Kira stepping out of his outlet stance to a more passive stance turns around and picks up the foucs mitts, putting them on and then lightly clapping them together before holding up for a jab, jab, jab cross, wanting to see if she got the basics of what he just did, know that if she did, he would hear a loud pop as her fist made contact with the mitts and that he would feel something through through the mitt. As he holds he glances to the side and sees the kid from earlier staring at Izumi, and Kira could tell by the look in his eye, that what he was doing was far more then innocently glancing at her.

Kira putting down his hands slips off the gloves and tosses them to the side, the first few students having finished their laps. With the look of a person who had done this a million times before, Kira looks Izumi in the eye and says "Choke me as hard as you can, try to kill me". keeping his head down, he waited till he felt his wind pipe close, not really expecting anything but hopping that he had managed to annoy her enough that she would actually do it.

For a brief second as he waits, he sees the image of his dad, laying on the ground in a pool of blood, glancing down at his hands he sees the blood, quickly snapping out of it, in the back of his head, he wondered what triggered the memory, it was not fear or rage, cause when he did it, he was perfectly sane, deciding to look back into that later he sees the rest of the class return to their lessons, all but one of the kids silently glowering at him.

Her face scrunched up in concentration as she easily went into the stance he had complimented on before. Then Izumi shifted her weight from one foot to the other to get her muscles to relax before attempting to do the simple combination he showed her.

Izumi made a few practice jabs by slowly extending her arm and then twisting it as it extended while her hips followed through. When she felt comfortable enough with it, Izumi started hitting the mitts. Her jabs felt a lot smoother and easier to move. And there was even small, weak popping sounds coming from it too.

Hey, punching things were fun! Izumi felt her lips twitch at the corners then frowned as he pulled off the gloves and asked her to choke him. Izumi eyed him suspiciously, but her anger was still boiling underneath her even though hitting the mitts took out a lot of her stress.

Izumi then shrugged it off. If he was offering to get killed then sure, she'd be honored. With a slight grin on her face she stepped forward, arms and hands reaching for his neck - though it looked like she was reaching forward to kiss him with their height difference.

Looking down at her as she reached to choke him, he could not help but think she was about to kiss him, the only thing killing the thought was her hands reaching out for his throat, right before she could grasp his throat he hears the bell go off and leans forward slightly, twisting his shoulder so both of her arms slip past him. As he slips the choke he puts most of his body weight on his front foot and rotats so he is facing the same way. "You did a hell of a lot better then I did on my first day" Kira says as he remembers walking out of his first class with a bloody nose and a black eye "If you want to learn more, there is an after school meeting here today. Kira then turns away and starts to untie his belt and places it around his neck, walking to the boys locker room.

Changing into his everyday clothes, Kira folds his belt and places it in his locker along with his gii and pants, purposely taking his time eyeing the lecherous bastard that was eyeing Izumi earlier. Blocking his way so he is the last one out, Kira slams him against the locker, his forearm pressing against his throat, the same side of him that killed his father aching to break free."touch her and I will kill you" he growls before releasing him and heading to his last class, archery.

Izumi stifled a disappointed groan. She really wanted to choke the life out of him! But he went all... All... She didn't know what word she was looking for, but it pissed her off. And then he had the nerve to step towards her and have his back facing her!

Izumi really wanted to growl and push him away, that is, until she noticed something. It looked like wrinkles that didn't go with his clothing. And he smelled pretty nice despite he was sweating. What the fuck? Izumi glared at his back when he walked away after inviting her to an after school meeting. Sweating guy smelling good? Oh hell no!

Sighing she started to follow the small line of girls heading for the girl's locker room. Unfortunately, being the only one exempt from running, Izumi kept getting pushed away from the entrance. Knowing that they'd keep at it, she glared at them before turning around and exiting the building with her bag. Izumi walked to the back of the building, which was covered in bushes and tall trees.

Hearing the second to the third bell, she hurriedly undressed and began to pull her pants on behind a tall bush that came up to her mid-tummy, and then used the tree next to her for support. Her shirt, on the other hand, was causing her a bit of trouble.

"Why in the world did I even buy this top?" She cursed after finally untangling it and pulling it over her head. Once she was done she stuffed her feet into her shoes and began to walk to her next class, though something was stabbing her foot.
