Afernoon Picnic (OPEN) Empty Afernoon Picnic (OPEN)

Post by Cordelia Reagus Fri Oct 14, 2011 12:20 am

Cordelia was at the park, sitting under a large oak tree for shade. She had only been at WHA for a day, she already felt lost, and she hadn't even been to the school yet. She mumbled words of encouragment to herself and unwrapped her lunch from it's plastic encasment. Cora thought carefully about her first day of school, she had to make a good first impression, if she didn't, then her life was going to be hell... for a very long time. But she didn't really know how to behave at boarding school, in fact, she didn't really know how to behave at school in general. Cora had never been to a public school, since she was so sensative to her surroundings and had been ill for so long... She had always had tutors come over and teach her and recieved and aced her tests over the internet. She'd never even spent a full day in school, not even an hour in a classroom. Sure, she'd seen school. Maybe even walked through the hallways a few times. But never had she sat in a classroom for hours straight or tried to make friends... Okay, so she was nervous, maybe even a little scared... or, by the looks of the nearly mauled sandwhich in her hand - a lot scared.

Cora leaned back against the tough bark of the tree behind her and pulled her feet up under her on the picnic blanket that she had layed down on top of the lush grass. Closing her eyes, she hoped she could save herself from complete and utter embaressment on her first day, but she'd never been one to do things right. I'm going to humiliate myself..., she thought quietly.
Maybe what she needed was a distraction.

Afernoon Picnic (OPEN) Empty Re: Afernoon Picnic (OPEN)

Post by Kyouya L. Koga Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:54 pm

Kyouya was taking a walk in the park to try and clear his head. He had been having the nightmares again and it was not something he wished to remember. It was cool out today and warm in the sun light. It was the perfect day for outdoor activities. Just the right amount of clouds for sky gazing, just the right amount of wind for kite flying, just the right amount of everything for anything. Kyouya noticed that there was a girl sitting all alone having a picnic. Apparently, she had packed the wrong sandwiches as she had crushed one in her hand. Kyouya smiled and walked over to her. "A girl such as yourself should not be allowed to picnic alone. Mind if I join you?" he said to her with a smile on his face.

Afernoon Picnic (OPEN) Empty Re: Afernoon Picnic (OPEN)

Post by Zefirino Giannopoulos Sat Oct 15, 2011 3:04 am

It had been early in the morning when Z had decided to go to the park. Not many people were there. He had found a nice oak tree and had decided to climb it. He took out his iPod and sat down on a branch, his back against the tree, and listened to some music. He had sat there, for hours, just listening to music, and looking up at how the leaves that surrounded him on all but two sides, which were blocked by the tree itself, diffused the light.

About noon, he fell asleep. And that was not good. His body slowly leaned to one side, completely obstructed by the leaves that still covered the entire tree. After only a few minutes of being asleep, he fell over. And out of the tree. Right into someone lap. A girls lap to be precise. She was having a picnic, however, Z did not notice this till it registered to him that he had just fallen out of a tree, and he had backed off of the girl. "Oh... uh... Sorry." Je said, his cheeks blushing, and doing so even more as he saw what the girl looked like.

Afernoon Picnic (OPEN) Empty Re: Afernoon Picnic (OPEN)

Post by Cordelia Reagus Sat Oct 15, 2011 5:36 am

Cordelia opened her eyes and looked up quickly when she heard a voice, seemingly addressed at her. She automatically blushed, but managed to smile as well. She motioned with her hand at the ground, for him to sit down if he wished to do so. "O-of course, I could use some company and I packed extra." She had almost managed to not stutter, but the fact that she was trying extra hard to make friends, and also that she was speaking to a boy, made her more nervous than before. She continued to smile and tried seem friendly in her own shy little way.

"I'm-" Cora was just about to introduce herself to the boy, when yet another boy fell out of the tree above her and right into her lap. She shrieked a bit and sat straight up when he fell on her, she was shocked and didn't know what to say. Maybe she had even become a little pale. A few seconds later, when the new boy was apologizing, color returned to her face and it just so happened that her cheeks imediately turned bright red. "Sorry!" Cora exclaimed, after the shock had worn on off just a tab bit and she could speak again. She didn't really know what she was apologizing for, but she did so anyway. Her eyes were probably as wide as they could possibly be, but she had slightly recovered from the surprise, enough to straighten out her fluffy, knee-length skirt, brush the imaginary dust off of her blouse and pull her cardigan a little closer to her thin body. And then, Cora started to laugh a bit, and the smile quickly returned to her face. She leaned back against the tree again as she continued her introduction, this time, addressing both boys. "I'm Cora."

Kyouya was just about to take a seat when the boy fell out of the tree above them and landed on the girl's lap. Kyouya jumped back a little bit and drew an imaginary gun, a reflex he had developed from his homeland. When he realized that the boy was not a threat, and that he had drawn an imaginary weapon, Kyouya sighed and rand his fingers through his golden hair. I have got to stop doing that. he thought to himself as the boy was apologizing, missing his name entirely. He didn't miss Cora's name though, "Cora." he said as if testing out the name, "That's a beautiful name. My name is Kyouya. It is my pleasure to meet you."

Zee had taken out his head phones just in time to hear her yell sorry. "There's no need to apolo..." he started to say before Cora started laughing. Then, he got caught up in it too. He DID just fall out of a tree, right onto her, half asleep. It was hard not to laugh. He heard her introduce herself, and decided to do the same. "Well, Cora, I'm Zefirino Giannopolous," he said, his Greek accent coming to the surface. He could never say his name without the accent, he just couldn't. "But, feel free to call me Z," he said, with the first half of the sentence still in his accent, and the second half normal. It often took him awhile to get out of his Greek accent.

He heard the other person give their name as well. "Well, now that we hopefully all know everyone else's name, I feel there is a good question to ask. Do you go to Whisper Hollow too?" This question was directed at Cora, since Z already knew Kyouya from the dorms. Zee then reached down to his iPod and pulled out the headphones, stopping the music.

Cora touched her blushing cheek and glanced down at the ground when Kyouya complemented her name. "T-thanks..." She smiled and nodded a greeting to both of the boys, noticing the greek accent that came from the boy that was now know as Z, which she would call him happily, instead of the name he had given her that she probably couldn't even spell, and definitely couldn't pronounce properly.

"Yeah, I haven't actually had my first day yet, but I'll be attending classes soon." Cora was surprised that she had actually gotten an entire sentence out without a single stutter, and she was talking to two boys, not just one, but two. She was making progress, real progress. She smiled a little brighter and waved her hands in a downward motion, signaling for them both to sit down next to her on the blanket. She continued to grin happily as she carefully unwrapped the food that layed in her picnic basket, and for an odd, brief moment, she might have actually felt slightly comfortable.

Kyouya smiled and took a seat to Cora's right. "I will be attending Whisper Hallow as well. Perhaps I'll be graded with your presence in the future." He gave her a bright smile as though to say I love you. However, this could not be possible due to the fact that they had just met. Kyouya picked up a sandwich, holding it gingerly in his hand. He slowly takes a bite from it to savor the flavor. After swallowing he comments on the sandwich, "I don't know what sandwiches you were eating before but, these are delicious.

Z smiled a nice big smile, and stood up, to move next to Cora. He went to her left side, walking the short distance like he normally walked, leaning back a bit, with his hands in his pockets. Then, he put his hand against the rough surface of the tree, and twisted down, sitting next to Cora. He looked at Cora, his eyes closed and smiled, in one of those ways that shows how you are having a really great time, and grabbed a sandwich. After one bite, he went "Αυτό είναι μεγάλο! Πολύ πολύ καλό!" which means "This is great! Very very good!" Of course, neither of the others would be able to understand what he just said, since it was in Greek. "Oh, sorry. This is a really good sandwich," he said, his accent slightly tingeing his tongue. He paused a moment before continuing on. "Yeah, I will occasionally speak in Greek," Z said, no longer with an accent. "If I don't notice it, just point it out to me. I don't always notice, since, back home, I had to speak Greek. My parents know almost no English,"
